We had a tornado touch down just a few miles from our house! It hit a shopping center that we had just eaten lunch at 2 hours before - it was Pickle's first outing! We went to Tokyo Joe's for lunch. We were eating lunch outside and it went from warm and sunny to pretty cold. We headed home. We were watching a movie and Pickle was enjoying an afternoon snack when we heard the tornado sirens - it actually took us a while before we realized that the sirens weren't just a pacing police car! Mike went outside to see what he could see. Pickle and I followed! As soon as we saw the funnel cloud Mike told me and Pickle to get to the basement. I grabbed the dogs and Pickle and headed downstairs. Mike grabbed the camera - took a few shots and then followed us with all the necessary baby supplies (carseat, diapers, wipes, blankets, etc.) - such a smart daddy! Luckly, we are all safe and our house didn't get damaged - not everyone was so lucky.
